It’s fascinating how even a place you’ve visited countless times can hold new mysteries when seen through the eyes of a child. This was Romeo’s 10th time in Portugal, a country predominantly synonymous with cherished family gatherings. Yet, this time, I wanted to paint a different picture for him – one where Portugal also meant traveling, exploring, adventure, and making memories that would last a lifetime.

Our 9-day escapade commenced in Faro, a city rich in history and vibrant culture. As Romeo and I strolled through its cobblestone streets, I watched his curiosity come alive. From Faro, our journey led us to the breathtaking beaches of Tavira, a paradise where Romeo’s imagination ran wild. While he reveled in the beach life, his adorable quirk surfaced – he dubbed the seawater “spicy,” often yearning for the hotel swimming pools. Such innocent preferences only added to the charm of our escapade.
